Rodney - Bullies never stop and its not always physical. It can be mental. They keep pressing. For the most part, people are apathetic to it. They think, like I do, that its part of life. When it gets bad, no one has your back. So pick a moment and fight back. If you get your butt kicked..go back for more again the next day. Eventually, they won't want anything to do with you. Bullies are a lot like sharks....they don't want a fight, they want a free meal.

My comebacks are suited to the opponent...don't want to come off as a bully.

100% true. But different people have been raised differently to deal with different situations.

The world doesn't only work from your perspective. A guy that went to Stanford coming from 3 generations of Harvard graduates is going to deal with this situation differently than a guy who grew up on Cooper City and went to UM.

Physical violence only solved high school issues. In a professional environment you head to your bosses office after you've collected irrefutable proof. You present it and tell him that it ether stops or he'll be hearing from your lawyer. If you're boss fires you, you call your lawyer. A "fight" can be several things except slamming your food tray down and running home to mom.

I think we are missing the point here...
I agree with NFL Junkie, Martin appears to be a little mentally soft and immature but that doesn't excuse Incognito from being a complete ass. If these reports are true (and I am beginning to give them more and more credibility as this thing unfolds) the Dolphin locker room has been a complete mess. And Incognito appears to be the catalyst.

The bigger problem - if you want to believe these message board posts are from Incognito, Sr (which I do now) - is that it sounds like Incognito is going to drag EVERYBODY he can down with him. Martin with suicide attempts, Pouncey with crack use, and whatever else he has. Philbin and Ireland are going to be under fire, taking away from game planning. If they get the ax as this thing gains momentum, we start over AGAIN!!

IMO, Incognito and Martin will never play another down for the Dolphins. I would be surprised if either one ever plays again. Martin will collect a check for his "harassment" and retire.

I don't really care, I just don't want them to torpedo the Dolphins this season and maybe the next 1 or 2

I don't know how the franchise wont be harmed by this. I see a lot of staff being replaced. Im not advocating it ..... but ... yes ... I see it happening ..... again ..... the dreaded R-word .......... the Dolphins will be REBUILDING this offseason.

Probably have a new coach who wants to get rid of all these zone players and go get some man coverage players.

I agree, that is ONE WAY to deal with the situation, and most likely the way I would use, but that just doesn't work for everyone. Not everyone is made up of the same stuff, and they shouldn't have to be.

Some just can't handle that route, which is exactly why I brought up Full Metal Jacket and school shootings.

With Martin's mental state in question, everyone is actually extremely fortunate that he chose to deal with it the way he did.

we don't need to rebuild, we might just need a new GM and coaching staff. the talent is in place for the most part, outside of offensive line.

A new staff will most likely want to change personnel.
