Quote:
According to NFL.com’s Adam Beasley VIA Twitter, “There’s a sense in the Dolphins locker room that Mike Sherman will and should be gone.”

Quote:
When one media guy throws out a “insider” look at the team you tend to dismiss it but NFL Network reporter Jeff Darlington who maintains a very close relationship with many of the Dolphins players said VIA Twitter that many players feel it’s time for Tannehill to “graduate from Sherman”. There is little question that Tannehill’s production is somewhat guarded with Sherman as the OC and after two seasons the reigns have not been taken off the young QB.

Something tells me he will respectively resign. I cant see Philbin firing him.

True, but I could see Ross firing him, which will also mean something else (namely, that Philbin and Ireland won't be back, either).

We will see. I still think it will be more like the way we fired Shula.

Are they telling him to GO, or GO-GO?

They are giving him this shirt as a parting gift.

He needs to be sent off with a classic gasoline fight.

Word is Sherman's gonna fall on the sword so his son in law, QB coach Zach Taylor, can keep his position. He needs to go anyway. He should've been put in a nursing home years ago. He probably forgot to eat his applesauce at breakfast this morning and he took a dump in his pants during the pregame meeting today.

Sherman should go, no doubt, but a number of "right" play calls to Wallace for instance were not executed by Tannehill. A few good play calls today in critical situations that were either over thrown, a guy dropped or a guy fell down to encourage an interception.

Sherman needs to go, but there were a number of poorly executed plays in key situations of key games this year. Hypothetically, if those plays are made we probably wouldn't be on the fire Mike Sherman band wagon. Just my opinion that it works two ways.

You do have a point. There was bad performance from players throughout the season.

I do think a better coach could have either corrected the problems or called plays to his teams strengths. However, I think the snap count issue alone is all that is needed to validate his dismissal.

Add to the fact that Wallace ran one route, no skinny posts, ETC. No motion, no nothing. He also lined up on the side week in and week out. Sherman needs to go.

Sherman made no effort to use plays that counter a pass rush. No draws, no center screens, no QB roll outs or boot legs, no read options. Just the same vanilla offense. He ran the ball on 37% of the plays run this year. 1/2 of the runs came on 1st downs. There was nothing aggressive or attacking about this offense. Sherman needs to go for sure.

Philben could be on the outs as well. Either Sherman did what he wanted while Philben stayed out of it, or Sherman and Philben were tied at the hip offensively.

There are two things that I have always hated: a strict west coast offense, and a 4-3 zone defense ... and we have both on this team.

Sherman has done nothing creative to light a fire under this team, and neither has Philbin.

Watching Philbin after our TD was like watching him after we fumble. Its like hes dead inside, no fire, no passion... Oh I get it, hes serious.. Blah, the players played like they could care less about this staff...

Nobody on that team is going to battle for Philbin, they laid down the last two weeks. Starts with play calling, no urgency, just line up and run vanilla base plays, then the players played like the coaches coach..
