Didn't expect this, but Green Bay vs San Fran, Cincinnati vs San Diego and Indianapolis vs Kansas City are currently not sold out. Local blackouts are being threatened. Apparently New Years resolutions included not blowing a paycheck to watch a football game.

It's the economy, stupid...

Versus the ridiculous cost of going to a game.

The Green Bay game is pretty shocking.........they're supposed to have the most die hard Fans in the NFL.

People in tight spots aren't going to decide they shouldn't buy groceries this week just so they can have 4 hours of entertainment.

NFL & MLB better wake up cuz it may be getting worse when these new taxes kick in.

But enough about Government drama, lets switch to conspiracy. Think fans are finally bored with seeing the same teams year after year staying playoff relevant?

Average price for a ticket to the game is $350. That is the average. We are not even talking parking, beer, food.....

Now add, the weather expected..... And compare to my awesome recliner, 70 inch HD TV, with DVR (go backwards... slow mo....)

No brainer.

Green Bay is owned by the community..........it seems like they would maintain reasonable ticket prices.

$60.00 at a sports bar + tip and I can watch all the games at once.. with a hot chick bringing me food and drink... in a nice warm seat :)

although I have to say i had a BLAST at the Pitt game.. the cold and snow didn't bother me at all..

I chose to sell my playoff ticket for NO vs the Birds to a friend for face value. I'd rather watch at home and save the cash!

Call me old fashioned. NOTHING beats being at the game.

Live is more high def than high def.

As for price, of course that is a factor. Avg ticket price though is very misleading for this. You can get into the Colts game for 80, 130 for packers.

Its about time people are waking up to the fact sports is bending them over. No way should tickets cost what they do.
