Post Should Ross hire Dan Marino is some kind of capacity?
I would like to see Marino hired in some capacity with the Dolphins. That doesn't mean that he should be the GM, but he has always brought a lot of class to the Dolphins and he bleeds aqua/orange. It would help right the ship and give the Dolphins some credibility in my opinion.

One of the mystifying things about the Steve Ross Era is he has never reached out to Dan Marino. And that’s not reaching out to hire him in some capacity. Just to get to know him over the past several years considering Marino's value and, perhaps, in case he might want to hire him in some capacity. Marino would like to help out the franchise in some capacity. A dozen years ago, he wasn’t ready when he took thefront office job for H. Wayne Huizenga. Now he’d like to do something, though whether that would simply to talk with RyanTannehill or have a John Elway-type position isn’t clear. Let’s remember, too: Elway didn’t start atop the Denver totem pole. He began in underling roles. Maybe Ross doesn’t see it as a fit for Marino. But, again, over the last few years you’d think Ross and his executives would get to know Marino better and have a gauge of whether he can help this franchise.

That would be nice, but the last time Marino was brought into a Dolphins management role he quit and quickly.

I think he has it made probably making over a million a year as an analyst and enjoying basically a stress free situation.

The Dolphins situation is stressful and I doubt he wants any part of that, but IF he did, credibility would be there to listen to his thoughts.

I think the larger issue is Ross's lack of understanding the fan base.

I agree. Also as far as Marino goes , been there & done that. Great Dolphin player and that is all. Leave it at that. The last go around during his 2 week figure head stint was as embarrassing as what he & this team went thru this past year.

Don't for get Club Liv and the fans more interested in texting than watching the game. They just want to self promote on fakebook how cool they are and that they were at the Dolphins game.

That would never work, when was the last time a retired player took over as VP and did anything?

Can he still play QB? Then, sure. If not, sorry Dan.
