He has me very optimistic about the offense, especially with Gibson coming back. Hopefully we're not calling for his head this December like we do to every individual coach at the end of each season.

New Dolphins OC Bill Lazor will call his own plays.
It's not a surprise, as coach Joe Philbin didn't even call plays during his days as the Packers' offensive coordinator. Lazor has never called plays at the NFL level, but has learned under master play-caller Chip Kelly, and can't possibly be any worse than ex-Dolphins OC Mike Sherman. Sherman dialed up plays seemingly at random, and was prone to abandoning the run. Lazor should work to establish the Dolphins' ground game.

Fit the offense to player talents? Wow! What a concept.

How long have I been saying that's what good coaches do?

Hopefully they can get the o-line fixed and put a balanced offense together.

what a great interview IMO... I love that when asked about RT he didn't craw up his but .. he talked about working with him.. and teaching him how to be ready...

This guy is a GREAT FIT..

and how did the interview start.. the guy took the job because of our coach...

Philbin is going to be a great coach.. he is just gathering the parts to the puzzle... and being forced to fire his long time friend just may be the best thing that ever happened to him ... I like this new OC a bunch!

I thought that was just general opinion. Everyone has been complaining that Sherman did the opposite of that.

I've been saying this since Cam Cameron was the coach...

The NFL is like a game of chess. I wish we had someone with a few games under their belt when we go up against the likes of belicheat.

Maybe Lazor is a hidden gem and a new star in the NFL. Dolphins fans, as always, can only hope.

GO DOLPHINS!

I'm just saying it's common sense. Obviously this team had two stubborn SOBs at the OC position the past several years.

Mhm, obviously it's hard to come by and isn't too "common" at all.
