this is a guy I've wanted for us

Quote:
- I’m told Denver Broncos guard Zane Beadles would be content testing the free agency waters if he doesn’t get a deal done with the team. I’m also told the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins head the list of suitors if Beadles hits the free agent market.

I had Zane on my list of free agents the Dolphins might look at in my blog last weekend. Would love to add him and he is obviously very familiar with the zone blocking scheme.

IF some reason the Ravens can't secure Eugene Munroe, I would not mind making a run at him at ALL. Only 26 years old, he is very good and has a lot of good years ahead of him.

I'd like to see us get Monroe, but I'd be happy with Albert. Either guy I think is capable of stepping in and giving Tannehill quality protection on the blind side. It will also take a lot of pressure off of us having to find a franchise left tackle at pick 19.

I'm hoping Donald Penn becomes a cap casualty in Tampa. Hickey would be on that.

Cards expected to make 'big run' at LT Albert

The Miami Herald reports the Bucs, along with the Dolphins and Cardinals, are believed to have interest in free agent LT Branden Albert.

Miami and Arizona's interest has been well documented since last April's draft, but this is the first time we've seen Tampa Bay connected to Albert. Bucs LT Donald Penn graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 19 left tackle last season and has two years left on a six-year, $41.7 million deal. His name has been floated as a potential cap casualty, a move that would clear over $7.4 million. Albert isn't going to come cheap, however. He's our No. 3 free-agent left tackle. Feb 24 - 10:41 PM

We need to sign at least two lineman in FA. Relying on rookies *cough* Dallas Thomas proves that isn't the way. Maybe Hickey can draft better.

Mak i think the new line coach from the Texans will make a huge diffrence. The guy we had was a clown coach.

I think we should go after Monroe rather than Brandon Albert.

Armando Salguero wrote:
The Dolphins flirted with Branden Albert last year. They talked to the Chiefs at length about such a trade. They also discussed contract parameters at length with Albert's agents.

In the end, however, the Chiefs would not allow the Dolphins to give Albert a medical exam. The Dolphins, unwilling to negotiated a trade and a contract without certainty about Albert's back, backed away from the talks around draft time.

Did he just all of a sudden get bad? He was always one of the better tackles in the league. I thought I saw PFF ranked him 18th this year.
