Barry Jackson @flasportsbuzz The Randy Starks deal is done. He's returning to Miami, at two years, $12 million.

Thank God.....

I think losing both Starks and Soliai would have been a big step backwards. I think LB play and system design had more to do with the Team's woes in stopping the run.....

That is great news. It would have been tough to overcome losing both Soliai and Starks in the same year.

Before this week I figured one would be back, but I definitely didn't think it would be Starks. It's good to have him back in the rotation. He has done whatever we've asked of him 100%.

BTW, with him franchised last year, he essentially had a 3 year, $20.45 million contract with $8.45 million guaranteed. Not a bad pay day for him either.

That is a surprising........most of us assumed he would be gone at the beginning of last season. Now we need to pickup a top Free Agent Head Coach.

Not a bad deal at all...Glad we were able to keep one of them. Losing both I think would have been tough. Nice job Hickey....

From the Herald:
Quote:
People close to the situation say there was friction between Starks and the Dolphins’ coaching staff – most specifically head coach Joe Philbin. Apparently they have put their differences aside for another run.
Or there never was any friction.....
