Re: Cortland Finnegan to meet with Miami

I love watching him go toe to toe with Andre Johnson whose frame is like twice the size of Finnegan, he's a scrappy SOB. You hate playing against him and love him to death when he's on your team.
Don't kid yourself. He went "toe to toe" with AJ because there were pads on and no way would the fight last more than mere seconds before it was broken up.
Regardless of his "former" play when he was younger, the guy has had a propensity for unnecessary roughness and personal foul calls. It's one thing to get in guys' heads, it's another to hurt your own team.
That's what I'm talking about, BlameHenne! Dudes a warrior that you want on your side.
Rock, in that case you kinda have to admit that it was smart (relatively) to disrupt Houston's best player & get him to commit a foul. & when it comes to "toe to toe" in pads, AJ always had less than good games verse Finnegan. Thats not easy to do & thats what matters.
I'm sure he can be dirty even when hobbled. He is foremost a dirty player.
Let's just say I hope our other young CBs can surpass the veteran.
You did not answer my question.
Do you prefer that he get cut in the preseason or that he is able to return to his previous level of play in which he was considered one of the top corners in the NFL?
There it is!
& it goes for any guy on our team. He's a Dolphin now & theres nothing to gain from wanting him to fail, it can only hurt the team.
I personally don't think Daniel Thomas is a good running back but do I hope he plays well? Of course! Because it means the Dolphins do better. Finnegan has the chance to make a big step forward for this team. But if he doesn't, & hes "cut in preseason", then we're all worse off in that scenario.
He's obviously not the most likable guy to you but it wouldn't hurt to give a chance bleed orange for ya
