I was in Tupelo, MS on Monday for business, as I have been on the road since Sunday visiting Alabama & Mississippi and just got back home this afternoon.

As you guys know by now, Tornadoes ripped thru Mississippi, Tupelo being one of the locations. The hotel room that I was suppose to stay in took major damage. The only reason I was not in the hotel was I had a headache because I had not ate since breakfast. I went to grab something to eat and something for my headache.

As I was getting ready to leave, a customer came in and said it coming in regards to the tornadoes. We ended up going into the beer freezer for 15-20 minutes. Only less than a 1/4 mile down from that gas station, my hotel and other hotels and business and vehicles were hit. I am not good a posting pictures, or I would post the pictures that I have on my phone and are on my Facebook page.

My prayers go out to the families that are homeless and that lost loved ones. Quite simply, it was not my time, and I am thankful.

I am SOOO looking forward to this draft now. Thankful to get to enjoy another NFL Draft.

Wow! I'm glad you're OK Tony. When our sports teams lose, remember perspective.

Tony, thanks for the perspective. And the reminder that people who are suffering the loss of loved ones or homes really should be in our thoughts even as we consider our preferred distractions. And I am grateful you are well. What a close call.

I ran into a family that was staying at the Comfort Inn in New Albany. There home was destroyed by the Tornadoes. So yes, events like this certainly snap things back to reality QUICKLY.

When I first saw your topic title I had quite the puzzled look on my face. After reading this I'm really glad to hear you are okay and that you gave us all a good sense of perspective about things in life.

Tony, good to know you came out OK.

We do take life for granted until we find ourselves in those types of situations.

Thanks Mitch, Dan, Rich & AFC. I feel for those people dealing with the damage that was done by the Tornadoes. Yes, we can get wrapped up in our own world and can be oblivious to what is going on around us sometimes unless it affects a loved one.
