Gotta get one of these guys in the next 3 rounds
Xavier Su'a-Filo-2
Joel Bitonio-2
Gabe Jackson-2
Jack Mewhort-3
Trai Turner-3
Dakota Dozier-3
Billy Turner-3
Michael Schofield-4
Cyril Richardson-4

Otherwise we'll be down to these lesser prospects in round 5.
Charles Leno-5
Anthony Steen-5
Chris Watt-5
Brandon Linder

I honestly would be pretty stoked if we worked out a way to get Xavier Su'a-Filo - our line would be in pretty darn good shape then.

I'd be even happier with Bitonio.

I agree. We will have to trade up for Xavier Su'a-Filo. I love his nasty attitude. Put him next to James.

I honestly see us going with another offensive lineman - and the boards will likely explode - but there is really no greater need.

A lot of stock put into WR - but Brandon Gibson played really really well before his injury. Matthews stepped up his game big time too, and we know what we have in Wallace and Hartline. So we have 4 solid WR's .... bringing in a 5th will just set the guy up for the bust label cuz he'll likely see the bench as the 5th WR going in.

Charles Clay had a monster year at TE, and I really think the regime likes Dion Simms - so again I don't see a TE being selected early.

The LB issue is there, sure, but we owe Ellerbe and Wheeler a whole lot of money so I just can't see us going with a LB super early - even with that being said, I feel like this would be the most likely position choice if we were to bypass another lineman selection.

I like Anthony Steen a lot, and he would be a great value pick in the 5th round. Trai Turner and David Yankey are guys I like in the 4th round.

Miami would have to move up to get Filo.

I think if Sua-Fila or Bitonio are there, the Dolphins card runner mows down several old ladies in the front row to turn their pick in.

The Dolphins absolutely love, love, love Nevada tackle Joel Bitonio, a source familiar with Miami's thinking tells me. The team loves Bitonio as a guard and likely as a left guard.

So if the Dolphins can land him in the second round today ... well, that would be very good. And that would likely make Dallas Thomas a tackle.

I wouldn't mind going RT, RG with the first two picks. The OL was a monumental issue last year. If he is your man, get it done. Protect your franchise QB. He should markedly improve this season with more time to throw, get him the play maker he needs alongside Wallace in the 1st round in 2015, or an elite LB.

The need is there, but I don't think it is as big a need as OT was. This draft is deep in play makers and we still need a tall target with good range to help out Tannehill. Top that off with a HUGE need at linebacker and I think we might be looking for some guard help later in the draft. Of course, I am used to Miami spending pick after pick after pick on linemen, so they will probably ignore the skill positions and draft a guard in round two.

LOL Nice! Those are some tough old ladies who made it to the first row. Hopefully the card runner breaks more tackles than our RB's did last year.

Ya I agree. Unless we trade up or one of these 2 miraculously fall to us, i'd skip on guard and wait til the 3rd round for one of the Turner's or Schofield. Use the 2nd rounder on a linebacker or receiver.

Bitonio in the 2nd
Brandon Coleman of Rutgers in the 3rd

Misi swings inside... Jordan takes over at OLB

Try and move back in the 4th and pick up some future picks....

And be ready to swoop up some garbage in the Free Agency aftermath...
maybe Steve Johnson.... lol dont think he'll be cut, but he will be expendable at this point

I'm with you, PZ. There is nothing sexy about drafting offensive linemen, but if you want your quarterback to succeed you need to protect him. I am all for drafting a guard in the 2nd round and I would trade up to get one that is starter worthy. Trading up in the 2nd round is not as costly as it is in the first round (unless you are trading with Pete Carroll who gave pick 32 away).

I hope I'm not in the way either.

Im fine with giving away our 4th if it means moving up 8 or 9 spots to nab a Joel Bitonio, Sefarians-Jenkins or Cody Latimer. Basically a big piece for the offense for years to come. And still have our 3rd rounder left to fill a need left standing.
