Okay, I know this kid has to prove himself after being selected in the 5th round, but he is my sleeper pick. Realistically, he will start out on special teams, but I get the feeling he will push for playing time in one of the linebacker slots.

I have seen him play in college and he also has a high character too. Plays hard and works hard all the time.

I think he has a very good chance of being a contributor for Miami in 2014.

Nice interview with Jordan. Glad you can see good in this kid too Tony. Rated 10th out of 182 outside linebackers coming out of college.

When you combine the intensity and love for the game that this kid has with his athletic ability, you can see good things happening for this kid.

Some folks are criticizing Miami for taking (5) FCS kids, but if you can play the game, you can play the game, regardless of the division you played in.

This kid will earn his roster spot on special teams. I see him being a Jason Trusnik or Austin Spitler type of player. Good on special teams, but little more than depth as a linebacker. Hopefully I'm wrong, but that is what I see when I see this pick. But there is nothing wrong with adding a good special teams player. He'll have an opportunity to play every week and contribute in some fashion.

Jordan Tripp interview. I am very confident he will fight for a starting linebacker spot. This kids work ethic; attitude and desire to play the game reminds me of #54. Not comparing straight up, but the tendencies are there and I see him surpassing the talent of Jason Trusnik or Austin Spitler.

Special team yes, compete for a backer spot, yes. Just mark my word and look out for him.

I like this guy in the 5th, he'll at the very least imo be a ST ace and capable back up.

Another article on Jordan. The cool thing with him is he played all three backer positions in college and for 3 different styles of offensive coordinators too, so he has been subject to a lot of different scheme learning and he is just one of those guys that is around the football a lot.

Cannot wait to see him translate that into something good for the Fins. I know you either like Omar Kelly or you do not, but based on this kid's Senior Bowl and other scouting reports, Omar felt that if Miami did not get CJ Mosley that the Dolphin analysts said this was the next kid in line.

I know I keep repeating myself, but out of all of our draft picks, this is the kid I am most excited about and I think he will end up a starter at some point. He is a play maker, creates turnovers and always around the ball. Crisp tackling & anticipates the play very well; downhill with lots of energy and tenacity. All of what we need.

Loved that interview, definitely said all the right things and sounded genuine about it all. Looking forward to seeing his development into a pro baller in a Miami uniform.

Not only that but he played for one of the better FCS schools in the nation. Nobody has had a better 20 span than the Griz. Our new RT comes from a school (my Alma mater ) that has had the best three year span of any FCS school in history. These guys are used to winning and playing at a high level. They also have a bit of a chip on their shoulder for being discounted as being from a small school.

That would certainly be more than a pleasant surprise if that were to happen.

I know realistically he is a 5th round draft pick, but I believe if he stays healthy he makes this team and becomes an impact for the defense.
