I like being excited just as much as the next guy, but also will look at everything and take a wait and see approach.
They added an offensive coordinator that could take the offense and Tannehill's game to the next level.
That was not the choice of the coaching staff, that was a decision made by Ross and Phibin nearly resigned over it. He had to fire Sherman.
That is the reason I remain skeptical, as we all have seen some coaching staff's can do more with less. We may be stuck with a staff that does less with more, that remains to be seen. I just have a bad taste in my mouth after the final 2 games. Just looked like a team that had no fight in them...
They beefed up the o-line and receiver corps. They even brought in another tightend. Hopefully this all translates to better protection, better production, and better results from the offense this year.
Here were Tannehill's numbers from 2013:
I think these are some very realistic expectations for Tannehill in year three:
Those are realistic expectations for sure. I am hoping to see more movement behind center, RT can make some nice throws on the run, and can also tuck it and take off for a first when needed.
I definately liked seeing the offense getting filled up this draft. One of the reasons I couldnt stand last years draft was we were weak on offense and stingy on defense to end the season, then went in and used the first 3 picks on 2 defensive players..
