### There’s high optimism that Stephen Ross’ Dolphins stadium renovations will get done in the wake of Ross making more concessions in recent days.

Not only is Ross willing to pay for the entire cost of the upgrades/renovations, but he is no longer asking for a tax break.

The newest twist is Ross is now asking for Miami-Dade County to pay him some of the incremental value for big events that are lured to the stadium (Super Bowls, college football title games) with that payment coming after the event, according to an official involved.

Ross is updating NFL owners today at league meetings in Atlanta. The Dolphins h
ope the renovations can be finalized in time for them to be a serious player for the 2019 Super Bowl.

I have no problem with him asking a portion from these events, especially since he is going to pay the entire bill to renovate Joe Robbie.

As long at the city get's a majority of the profits, and by that I mean over 90% of the profits, I have no issue with it.

I'm sorry Mak, but that title is reserved for the Student Loan Programs. We can put the NFL second if you want....... :fart:

On the stadium, I'm no economist, so have some patience with me, but who keeps up with exactly how much money events bring in?

Is he talking about what they will get paid for the event, the enitre scope of the event as in money made from hotel sales, car rentals, so forth and so on? It don't impact my opinion of it any really, I think it's being reasonable as long as the percentages are right.
