Choose 5 based on cap and contribution on offense.

I think they will keep 6 from this group: Wallace, Hartline, Landry, Matthews, Gibson and Binns.

Gibson, IF he doesn't recover enough could be in jeopardy, but I bet he makes it back.

Interesting. Is that just a feeling you have or was there talk of this somewhere I missed?

I wouldn't think he has trade value recovering from an injury. Plus, hes so valuable to Tannehill's production . .

You gotta wonder tho. Guys usually don't look themselves for a year when coming back. Its unfortunate but hes squarely on the bubble & gone if another guy can move better now

I don't see anyone losing their job this year, but Rishard Matthews could make a case for letting Gibson go. The Dolphins have the cap, so, it doesn't make sense to let him go this year. I remember Gibson more than Matthews because Gibson seemed to be a bigger playmaker than Matthews was. I thought he was dominant in the red zone, and Tannehill's play seemed to decline after he was injured.

Thats true. I forgot about Gibson's TD run early last year. He was clutch for RT

It's a feeling that that they want THill to play without a binkey, however you spell it..

I think Gibson is the odd man out. He is has much cheaper replacements.

Hate that they have been doing this the past few years..We have cap space...Let's keep the best players..

The qb needs to play better...This group has the talent.

If we ignore salaries, Gibson is simply just better than Matthews.

I guess Hartline assumes the Rylie Cooper role in Lazors' offense. Maybe he finally breaks out for 8 touchdowns.

Did Hartline put on 20 lbs of muscle?

Nope, but he's the tallest starter and comparable speedwise to Cooper.

I think Cooper makes a lot of those catches because he can outmuscle guys.

We'll see, Cooper was a total nobody before he played in this system. Hartline is already a solid receiver. Maybe he'll get open easier now and post career highs.

I think Wallace has potential for 1300 and 8 end zone trips in this offense.
I also believe Landry could carve out a role for something like 700 yards and 5 TD's.

I seem to remember Cooper being wide open for alot of big plays.

A few, but he also made big catches using his body as well and 29% of his yards came after the catch with a 5.1 YAC per reception average.

He's a better, stronger athlete than Hartline.

There were a lot of broken plays or designed PA rollouts. Didn't seem like Foles was ever actually in the pocket. When I watched some videos it was like watching RG III (albeit slower) from 2 years ago.

I think if Gibson's knee is alright there is no doubt he comes back. Matthews has done well, but he isn't the type of player Gibson is. Although he is technically in the Slot, Gibson has the ability to catch downfield too...I always think back to that long 4th down against Baltimore before Sturgis missed the 57 yarder...

I tend to agree with Finhead; they will keep Wallace, Hartline and Landry for sure. After that it gets a little muddy. Binns or Matthews or Gibson? Well, shake 'em all up and see who looks good after a week or two of camp. Keep 'em all because you won't be using a FB. The final spot may just go to who's still healthy.

I think Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Matthews, and Landry will be our five guys when its all said and done (assuming Hartline and Gibson are healthy). If the Dolphins decide to keep a 6th then I think its Hazel. Gibson, Landry, and Hazel all provide the Dolphins with the ability to play outside. I don't think they're limited to the slot. Only with Matthews do I think there are limitations on his ability to play outside. By the time the season gets going I think our depth chart will look like this:
Wallace
Hartline
Gibson
Landry
Matthews
Hazel

So our 2nd round pick doesn't make it for sure?
