I like the new offense. I think it shows imagination and has a ton of potential. One problem that is emerging in my eyes is Lazor seems to focus a lot on forcing the ball to Mike Wallace. I would normally blame Tannehill but he never had this problem last year. It seems like Lazor is putting unnecessary pressure on the entire offense but more so on Tannehill by forcing Mike Wallace into the gameplan. I'm all for getting your best WR in the gameplan but darn... we have 2 other great players in Clay and Hartline. I have no idea if this is the case it's pure speculation but after the first two games it seems to be the truth to me.

Another problem he abandoned the run way to fast after that Moreno injury. Reminded me of Mike Sherman.

Just my thoughts after the first two games.

Wallace sure seems open a lot. Heck, if he's open feed it to him.

Clay is a dud right knee. He looks slow on that injured knee. And Hartline needs some stickum...

I hear you. Hartline disappears way too much during games.

What happened to the vaunted depth of this receiving core? LOL

So far Wallace is the only player who's shown up on Sundays.

Tannehill was a Jedi last year in the short middle of the field where Gibson and Landry make their hay.

They were all scrubs no matter how fans want to spin it.

Guess you could say that about Wake last week. Atleast Hartline had a couple 1st downs one was a nice grap

Yea, but some think he is this worthy Wr. He made a couple of 1st down last week, so Miami might should give him a new contract.

I second that Dave. We are two games in and already scrutinizing him? Cannot please Dolphin fans....lol....The guy is a huge upgrade over Sherman, just be happy we have him.

Personally, I am very happy we have Lazor calling plays and I would feed my fastest best receiver too if he is continuously getting open with his speed. That's why he got paid so much, to feed him the ball and make plays just like any other team does with their star receivers.

Lazor is trying to get the ball into the hands of the fastest receiver. That's a good thing. Problem is that receiver either makes circus catches, has the dropsies or his QB has shaky ball placement.

But you're right, time to get back to the basics and eat up the middle of the field with the slot guys. Use that as a confidence builder.

I don't have game rewind so I can't tell if the defenses are taking that away or if the play design is just avoiding it.

The first play from our offense was a 11-12 yard strike to Gibson, and I didn't hear his name the rest of the game. Why are the guys who have consistent hand issues the only guys seemingly getting open? Landry had some nice plays through the middle, too.

I like going to Wallace for the potential of big play, but when it's a forced throw I'd rather see a dump to Landry or Gibson...even Hartline. A positive from our game was on the passes we did complete, they were for good yards.

I still ache from the horror story of Jay Fielder and A. J. Feely constantly throwing little dump passes for 2 yards regardless of down and distance.

Potential....that's the issue. Tannehill-Wallace downfield are literally batting at like .100. It's not bad, it's horrific.

Apparently, Wallace gets past the defenders on a regular basis but needs a near-perfect pass in order to make the catch. Okay, let's build on that quick-strike capability... and if Tannehill can't do it, get someone else who can. (Moore might be a temporary fix, but he's not starting material.)
