The Miami Dolphins were trailing the Green Bay Packers at the half, when head coach Joe Philbin and defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle reportedly had a verbal exchange on the sideline following a punt.

The exchange was shown during the broadcast. At first, there were some rumblings that Philbin pushed Coyle away, but further explanation seems to indicate Philbin was just frustrated with a development on the field and waved Coyle off.

Or Philbin had seen enough of the 10 yard cushions our corners give wideouts.

Coyle maybe an idiot...but Philbin is a wussy. No way he sprouted a pair and went after Coyle.

What would Coyle be mad about?

Was he trying to say they needed to go for it? Or was it just sick of his D being on the field & carrying the O?

Let's hope Coyle is saying "I told you so" about Philbin's offensive approach regularly putting the team in a bad position.

Constant, endless drama from this team every single season. It's like clockwork. I hate seeing other teams rise up every year only to witness my team be stuck in neutral or reverse each and every season. When the #@&% are these dudes gonna grow up and play in big games?

Philben is not a fan of those cushions. His comments after the fake spike.

Quote:
But was Finnegan supposed to be that far off on Davante Adams on that play? “I don’t remember how deep he was but he could have been a little closer,” Philbin said, adding that Dolphins’ defensive backs were sometimes “a little too deep.”

I think he was mad/upset we didn't go for the long field and chose to punt, but I forget what portion of the game that was in. It would have been a long field goal, and with Sturgis, I can't fault Philbin for wanting to punt.

We had a chance and the offense couldn't put the foot on the head of the snake and finish it off.

"IF" we had won this game, fans would still be complaining anyway, me included, but had we won, it could make the difference between getting in as a wild card or being a season killer.

We're at this point in the season where we're gonna need help, which I don't like.

Our record says who we are, and a 2-3 inconsistent team.

And reports are coming out that the coaches are losing the locker room.

Who can blame them, this will either bring the team together to refocus or will destroy it.

It's like a bad marriage, lots of finger pointing, we gave this very winnable game away because we did not want it.

Winning cures all.

We need to win next Sunday.
