If we could pull that off, it would stabilize our OL majorly.

### Dolphins center Mike Pouncey, due $7.4 million in the final season of his contract, said Monday he was left with the impression that the Dolphins want to work out a multiyear deal this offseason. “I think I’ll be a Dolphin for a long time,” he said after playing Jason Taylor's charity golf tournament…

The Dolphins haven’t told him if he’s moving back to center, but he told them he wants to do that and everyone believes it’s likely…

Pouncey said he would like the Dolphins to sign “a really good veteran guard” and is recommending San Francisco impending free agent Mike Iupati. "Good player," he said. Pouncey said playing alongside a quality guard makes the game easier.

I wouldn't mind that. A huge need is filled.

Not a huge fan of Iupati's... really slowed down last year, and that concerns me. No more paying big money to declining players...

Iupati has only played 4 years in the NFL. 3 of them were Pro Bowl years.

I was really high on Iupati coming out, I wanted the Fins to draft him that year, he hasn't been as good as I expected him to be but he's a solid G.

He's going to get big money for a G.

3 of his 4 years were Pro Bowl, how good did you want him to be?

lol, good point, but I thought he was going to be more dominant than he is, he hasn't lived up to 12th overall for a G, and thats where would have had to take him, at 12 an OG should be the best in the league, 12 is crazy high for an OG.

So it was probably a better choice to trade down and get Odrick, I actually think of this as one of Irelands best draft moves, he traded down picked up an extra pick and still got the best 3-4 DE prospect in the draft, that was a very savvy move imo.

It seems to happen more often than not now. Zach Martin, David Decastro and now Brandon Scherff. Teams value the best ones. 3rd round guys haven't worked out for us.

Pouncey seems to be a bit demanding these days;)

Don't worry. Philbin will trade Pouncey for his insubordination now & everything will be quite again haha

And general manager Dennis Hickey envisions Billy Turner as starting-caliber.

Although I've read some people saying Miami will be aggressive I bet the hesitance theme will ring true come next Tuesday. Doubt there will be any splashes other than possibly retaining Clay and Odrick.

No doubt Ross likes Philbin and wants him to succeed, but I think he's forcing him to win with talent that should be developing. Time to separate the good from the bad in terms of draft picks under Philbin's watch.

I completely disagree that there are more pressing needs than a guard.
