Beat me to the punch Tony. Looks like Chip Kelly is trying to get all of his college players together. We should trade Jordan then.

Hey Melo. Soon as I saw it, I said darn....Not Dang either. Chip Kelly believes in his system, that for sure.

Now you have to give some credence to Kelly going up and getting Mariotta. Kelly will do what he has to do, and he has the juice.

Of all places, MCoy had to end up in the AFC East. More Dolphin luck. On another note, what is Chip Kelly willing to give Miami for Dion Jordan?

Just spoke to my brother in law who is a life long Bills fan, and said the same thing.

WOW!, can't hardly believe Philly would be so stupid.

Remember last time Rexy had a good D and a good RB.

With a halfway decent QB they'll be challenging the Pats for the division.

They got C.J Spiller on the NFL Network right now, and it does mean he is GONE.

C.J might not look to bad in Miami.

I hope the Dolphins do consider this Tony as we sure the heck don't want NE to nab him.

I also happen to think a healthy Spiller could very much help be the offset to Lamar Miller and be that nice third down back.

Great Odin's Raven!

Although, I am a huge fan of big deals with no Schefter or social media leaks, the way men with many leather-bound books do it.

But I like them a lot better when we come out on top, not bottom. That really stinks.

CBS' Jason La Canfora reports new Bills RB LeSean McCoy is expected to "make noise about wanting an extension," and could even threaten to decline to report to training camp.
Per La Canfora, the Bills are "bracing for that already." A trade is a perfect time to angle for a new deal, but already due at least $6.9 million each of the next four seasons, Shady isn't going to get it. McCoy will likely/understandably be sour about the deal for some time, but he's going to work for one of the league's great salesmen in Rex Ryan. By the time camp rolls around, Shady should be hungry to prove he's still one of the game's best offensive players.

Not sure what the big deal is. Alonso was a stud young LB before the ACL and should come back. McCoy is getting old in RB years. Last year didn't do squat. Sorry, I think I'd rather have Fred, Spiller and Alonso than McCoy. My two cents worth.

It's a ballsy trade, but Rex can compensate for losing Alonso. McCoy still ran for 1300+ yards this past year...some games reaching 130+ yards some as low as 17. Should compliment Watkins nicely....now we just have to figure out a way to hold him like San Francisco did!

Finster, I love your eclectic knowledge. Norse mythology? Check! Very cool, thank you. Either that or you just googled it quick, lol.

lol, I did google it to check the spelling, was thinking it was Huninn and Muninn, but something told me it wasn't right, glad I checked.

I'm no expert on Norse mythology, but while we're on the subject, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that there were no African Americans nor Japanese peoples in Scandinavian mythology.

Of course that comment will only make sense if you've seen the Thor movies.

I did like the movies, even though Heimdall was played by an African American, a good actor, nothing racist here, just come on man, lol, Brad Pitt as Shaka Zulu would be just as ridiculous.

That guy was born to play Thor though, Loki was real good too.

Philly came out on top IMO. They now have a centerpiece of their defense for several years to come, and Buffalo got a descending RB who will be in an even worse situation. Talk about having 8 defenders in the box with a Rex Ryan at head coach, Manuel (or whoever the hell else) behind center, with an all pro McCoy taking handoffs.

Buffalo is lacking the explosive players (mainly QB) to keep the defense honest, allowing McCoy to run wild. At his age, it's likely that the best years of his career will be left behind in Philly. They need to focus on getting a daayum QB, THEN go ahead and make moves like this.

Why couldn't this have been us? Why couldn't we have traded Jordan for Shady.
Would have been such a nice playmaker and scoring machine.
Instead we now have to face him twice a year.

Getting old? No. I keep hearing that ridiculous argument trying to justify this trade.
He's 26. Right in his prime. And the Philly line was terrible and hurt last year.
And let's see what Alonso can do without having the best defensive tackle tandem in the NFL playing in front of him while trying to rebound from a torn up knee.
Shady's numbers were down because Chip Kelly was making them practice full blast the day before games. McCoy disagreed with Kelly's style. That's why he's gone.
Kelly is turning into Spurrier. Trading/drafting for every Duck he can get his hands on.
His next move is to sell the farm for Marcus Mariota, LOL.

I look at it this way. Kiko was out all year and Buffalo's D was awesome.
Am I scared to face Buffalo with Alonso in the lineup? No.
Am I scared to play them now with McCoy teamed up with Watkins? Hell Yes!!!

Agree. Rare if ever that a RB who has been used his entire career is stiil the same RB after age 28. McCoy should still be good, but not many yrs left on the tires.

He will be 27 before the season. McCoy should be fine for the next two yrs. Do not see 1600 yds from him though.

Nice trade for Buffalo. Even though both players can be described as impact players , c'mon ...a RB in his prime for a LB coming off an ACL?
However Coyle's Defense will make McCoy regret getting up in the morning twice this season.

Next move for Chip Kelly. Offering Nick Foles and a couple picks to the Jets to move up to the sixth spot to draft Marcus Mariota.

They finished in 2nd place last year and are putting together a very good team. Belichick cursed out loud over that trade.

In today's market a top young LB has greater value than a top young RB. Alonso, was a beast his rookie year........being named Profootball Writers Defensive Rookie of the Year and coming in 2nd in the AP vote. In 2013, he had 159 combined tackles, 2 sacks and 4 interceptions. In the Bills '13 game against the Bengals he recorded 22 combined tackles.

Not sure what offense the Bills will be running, but I'm assuming it's not a spread. I'm pretty sure McCoy wont put up the same numbers under Ryan. It's a flashy pick for the Bills, but I think the Eagles came out ahead.

And the Bills follow up the big blockbuster trade by....

Trading undisclosed PICKS for Matt Cassel (which i would assume are probably a 4th and a 7th?)

So Buffalo is going into this season with no 1st rounder... and probably 2 more picks short. They will bring in 3 draft picks for this season.....

And still don't have a QB!!

Cassel? seriously? Thatd be a great move back in 2009.... in 2015 he lost out on a starting job to not only a rookie Teddy Bridgewater, but also another first round Bust in Christian Ponder.... And this was also back when AP was their RB in 2013!!!

Dont fear the Bills just yet.

Seriously, until they get a QB, they arent a playoff threat...

And Shady McCoy is going to be a step backwards. They are paying a $10 million RB... (their bill for this season is like 7.3 million after the trade) for a guy that put up 1300 yards last year. Now much of an improvement over Spiller is that?

Spiller's best season was 2012 where he put up 1244.... Spillers best year = McCoy's worst year.

Smells like Buffalo just gave up a young promising LB... and about $5 million extra per year for 200 yards give or take more in production.

MEH!!!
