I dont want to make this a big thread. And I typically disapprove of the idea of a new thread for every FA that comes available.

But Ive seen enough chatter in the past 4 hours since Revis' option with the Pats was not picked up, and he will test the market.

Looks like the going rate for an elite CB is 4 years/$60 million with about $42 million guaranteed. AND Revis may be interested in considering a lower option to stay with the Pats again in 2015.

So there's enough chatter being that Tannebaum drafted Revis.
Hurting a division rival is a positive in its own perspective.
Grimes/Revis paired up with a D that features Wake/Suh.

Never been a fan of Revis.... but Revis is the piece that could make this defense better than the 2000 Ravens...

Is this worth considering? And at what price?

My thoughts would be offer a low ball $12 million per season offer. If he's sold on playing with the other 3 pro bowlers on this defense, he'll make this a super bowl team.... To hit that $12 million, Starks will need to be jettisoned, Fields too, and Wallace would need to restructure. If he's not interested, make a play for a lower priced #2 CB and focus on the O.

I dont think a team has ever landed BOTH defensive FA prices in the history of the NFL. Which is the only reason why i would consider it!

All I care about is him taking a deal outside of New England. He made that defense significantly better last season, you got your chip D...get outta there.

It was a $20m op. That was expected.

He's not coming to Miami on the cheap.

Darelle Revis will go to the highest bidder. That has been him MO since he has been in the league. Could that change, sure, but history says NO.

The people that made him mad in new york are the people pulling the strings in miami. I see him going to the bills to play in rex ryans defense.

After they just shelled out a ton of money for McCoy it might be hard to squeeze Revis into that salary cap. The Mario Williams deal for them is almost as crazy as the Suh deal. And they want to throw the kitchen sink at Clay.

I dont think Buffalo can afford him... as mentioned with the mario williams deal.

I think the main suitors for him will probably be Oakland and New York. The Colts might have an outside chance.... Dont rule out Detriot though... I could imagine the money that would have been spent on Suh going to trying to lure Revis there.

Either way, theres been enough talk about the dream of Revis to Miami that the conversation has to be had. Under what terms would it even be feasible.. and what is the best we could offer.

At this point i think that barring a big move: cutting/trading Wallace..... or releasing Wake, Miami wouldnt have the means to offer another 8 figure contract. Could the cap be finagled to allow a 2 year contract with most of the cap hit coming in 2016 when more money should be available? I dont know.

With Suh signed, a Revis attempt would be an all-in type move to win a championship which would be pretty ballsy!! But the window would be very small- 2 years or reboot

LOL, I'm still wondering how we're going to field a legit team after all the other cuts that will need to be made to sign Suh, I can't imagine the Fins will have any money for other high priced FAs.

Clayton on ESPN this morning said not to rule out Miami has a landing spot for Revis.

$48 million over 3 years according to Revis' reps per LaCanfora.

But don't worry guys, we can get "creative" and convince him to sign here LOL. Man, that guy gets P-A-I-D every time he signs on the dotted line.
