Hartline has the seventh-most receiving yards in Dolphins history.
wow that's a cool stat.
1 Mark Duper 1983 1992 144 WR 8869
2 Mark Clayton 1983 1992 142 WR 8643
3 Nat Moore 1974 1986 183 WR 7546
4 Chris Chambers 2001 2007 100 WR 5688
5 O.J. McDuffie 1993 2000 116 WR 5074
6 Duriel Harris 1976 1985 111 WR 4534
7 Brian Hartline 2009 2014 92 WR 4243
8 Tony Nathan 1979 1987 123 RB 3592
9 Davone Bess 2008 2012 77 WR 3447
10 Paul Warfield 1970 1974 60 WR 3355
Even Bess made the top 10.
But here is a real comparison of Hartline's value.
4 Chris Chambers 2001 2007 100 WR 5688
7 Brian Hartline 2009 2014 92 WR 4243
Two guys that both played 6 seasons in Miami. Hartline missed a few more games than Chambers so theres 100 games to the 92 games stat.
But look at the production difference. Chambers had 1 great season in Miami, but was a pretty solid talent for the time we had him. Hartline was a steady talent, but look at the difference in yardage. For the contract we gave Brian, we should have gotten Chamber's production. Chambers also had 43 TDs versus Hartline's 12.
I'm not beating a dead horse. I think we all liked Hartline. Wish he could have finished his career here.... but not at the contract that Ireland gave him. Good luck in Cleveland, I'll be cheering for him.
I agree it is not beating a dead horse its ... something different, probably more like digging up the corpse of a dead horse and then beating. : ) I keed, I keed. It is the off season you have to talk about something.
Thank You Dolphin Fans. "Fins Up" Brian Hartline.
