The Broward Palm Beach New Times reports Commander Alvin Pollock, a police officer that also works for the Miami Dolphins, is being investigated for giving special treatment to DE Philip Merling after his arrest on aggravated battery last week. The special treatment Merling received reportedly included someone at the Sheriff's office escorting him out a private exit and then giving him a ride home after he posted bail.

COME ON..........where is the story here? So he was let out the back door.....how many of use out there wouldn't like to be shown the back door when we have done something wrong. He was just helping Merling save a little face thats all. If Merling really did do something that was deemed a real battery charge, then the police would have mad a bigger deal about it. It's not like Merling is the star of our team and they wanted his photo and autograph.........i e (Ben R.) so I say let it go and he will have his day in court.
