Adam Gase and Cutler leaned on their year together in Chicago in boldly coming out in a no-huddle, unafraid to lay their cards on the table in a preseason game. Cutler took an average of 23.8 seconds between plays, excluding three stoppages for penalties. It’s as if Cutler were fighting a shot clock.http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachpost. ... e-results/
Very likely, the Dolphins will take note that in the two instances in which Cutler got plays off within 18 1/2 seconds, both plays succeeded. One was an 11-yard completion to Jay Ajayi. The other was a 31-yarder to DeVante Parker, although that was wiped out by the first of two consecutive holding calls against Young.
“He looks like we really weren’t apart for a year,” Gase said of Cutler. “I thought his tempo was really good.”
