Just so you know ... RED is rated "poor" and is the lowest grade you can get.

At 3.6 yards per carry and 17 sacks allowed with 44 qb hits. It's clear we have the worst offensive line in the league..Pitt. and NE are far better.

Cutler can't expect to excell with this line.

Good thing Cutler is tough as nails..No QB should be expected to take that much punishment...

Bet he wishes he signed with 23 other teams now..PFF must have some better colors for those teams.

The bad thing is that their backups aren't playing much worst.

Last season Tunsil had a 70.6 overall grade from PFF when he played LG, so his grade at LT isn't significantly down and is roughly the league average (last season was 70), and it is an improvement over Branden Albert's PFF grade from last season (42.2). Hopefully Tunsil can kick on at LT and get his grade in the same region as James, at that point we will have two franchise tackles.

In the 2018 draft we certainly need to look at going O-Line early. Someone like Quenton Nelson from Notre Dame would be ideal, or we could look at his Notre Dame teammate Mike McGlinchey and shift Tunsil back inside to LG if we feel he's better at guard. Though in all likelihood I would say drafting someone like Nelson would be the preferred option and then hopefully we find someone else to fill the other guard spot and hope for a Pouncey revival, or just move on from him as well because the interior of the line is worrying looking at those grades and arguably none of them deserve to be retained for next season.

This team needs to spend 1st and 2nd round picks on the line next year. They have enough on D now. The O line has been embarrassing for several years. Truthfully, I think they need to spend round 1-4 on the offensive line though....we need two guards and a center for sure. Tonsil is a question mark....and if James comes back healthy, he is one of only 2 starters our line has at the moment. The rest are just filler and fodder.

Thanks to an inability to keep players, as well as motivate and coach them, the team will be facing more needs soon...WR once Landry leaves...another running back....an edge rusher....a coverage linebacker or two.....the list goes on.

The guards were the problem last year? Not Tunsil, of course.
