I didn’t see him as a target for Miami.

Looks like Kurt won’t be getting a third consecutive $30m + paycheck this year.

The fallout from this for us will be determined by where Cousins lands. If any of the teams that are drafting ahead of us grab him, it may enable a QB to slide to us that we love.

I am thinking that Cousins is a good target for Denver. That could drop a QB in the draft, but I don't think the ones that we would want will be there at 11. There are a lot of QB needy teams this year.

If Cousins lands on a surprise team like Minnesota (don't rule it out), the whole top of the draft gets shaken up.

Cleveland will have to find a veteran if they don't want Rosen to be the instant starter.

Tannehill may become a more in demand trade target with his contract.

Going back to that trade, does anyone understand what the Redskins are thinking? Alex Smith is at the top of his game right now, and in many ways reminds me of Tannehill. He has improved his skill set each year after leaving the 49ers. BUT, why pay him that kind of monies with guarantees and not Cousins? I will say that the Redskins didn't have to give up a whole lot for him.

This is a funny exchange as Fuller, who was sent in that trade to the Chiefs, finds out he was traded.

it's so hard to find a QB that carry your team these days. SO my question is.....why trade for A. Smith if KC is willing to let him go? Why pay cousins when the Skins are letting him go?

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Pure speculation and unqualified opinion on my part, but it would not surprise me at all if Alex Smith ended up accepting the same extension Kirk Cousins wouldn't.

I would expect Cousins to get substantially more in free agency than the Smith extension in Washington.

Remember when SD chose to stick with Rivers over Brees? And the Dolphins chose to go with Culpepper instead of Brees?

QBs of Cousins caliber do not become openly available very often. One franchise is about to get really lucky.

If I were Cleveland, I'd have a 50 page strategic plan ready to present to Cousins showing how he can be the savior of football in Cleveland and be the face of the city when LeBron leaves for the Lakers eventually. Of course the plan would start with paying him $30M per year and drafting Saquon Barkley 1st overall. And talking Joe Thomas into coming back for sure.

My 2 cents.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

To jgods point, I’ll go off topic for a few seconds here but I don’t understand the Lebron to LA hype. That team is hot garbage and has nothing to offer.
