Just a reminder of what we have with Tannehill. Gase went out and brought in two receivers who who are good route runners, so, this should only help Tanny.

The progression of Ryan Tannehill has been wonderful to watch for those who look deeper. In the last two seasons, his deep ball has become one of the league’s best, so it should be no surprise he’s become a downfield master under Adam Gase.

With better defined routes, Tannehill’s accuracy soared. His overall accuracy of 64.1% was 4th in 2016, and his accuracy on throws of 20+ was 61.0%, The 2nd highest (only behind Derek Carr).

Despite suffering from some receiver drops, Tannehill’s accuracy and placement were astonishingly good. We’re talking throws that rival the ones Aaron Rodgers makes on a daily basis!

Ryan Tannehill is a really good quarterback, and though his deep passing lacks quantity, it easily makes up for it in quality. Dolphins fans should be highly pleased with the results their quarterback is producing, and in 2016 his downfield passing was one of the year’s absolute best.

FINAL GRADE: A

Its not those type of throws that he needs for the next step. Needs more clutch throws that move the chains throughout the game (keeping defense off the field) and in the end zone late in the 4th quarter.

Miami is gambling that he will do it in 2018.

Those are not deep throws. If they do not travel 150 yards thru the air at a height of at least 50 feet, they cannot be considered deep.

Maybe, just maybe, if he has WRs who study their playbooks well enough to know where they are supposed to be on a consistent basis he'll be able to make those clutch throws. I know, "it's every one else." Still... That's Amendola's thing, right?

Deep throws only come when you have enough time to meditate in the pocket then they are like really deep man.

no way....those are manufactured videos, have to be...kudos to all the 20 yr old modern magicians that can make those things happen, and I mean it in all honesty, to make Tannehill look like a major league QB you have to be a magician or something.......I mean, really. When did those things happen? I'm old and prone to forget things but what I remember vividly is a team that fell behind, couldn't move the chains and kept putting a lousy defense back out on the field, often in terrible field position...chunk yardage was a term that never had quite made it to the Fins lexicon, where instead of "chunk" their game plan terminology instead said "junk"....ie., 3rd and 8, Tannehill to Landry, 3 yards and a cloud of artificial dust! Punt!

...the off-season is made for dreamers and this is just one guy's idea of a fun put-on. Get back to me in October....

Ball leaves his hands as the pass rush is there and he gets hit, and these are the few highlights where he had 3 seconds... The rest are 2 or less...
