Well, unless the Dolphins have added a good evaluator of offensive line talent, we should stop drafting them after the first round. Heck, we almost didn't keep Ju'Wuan James this year and he was a first round pick. Maybe we should stick to overpaying them in free agency and avoiding old offensive linemen who are on the downside of their career.

Quote:
Overall WAR of drafted players for the Dolphins: 24th

Drafted Players with the Highest WAR (per season):

– Jarvis Landry
Not the prototypical No. 1 receiver, but pretty valuable in doing what he was asked, earning PFF grades in the 80.0s each of his four seasons.

– DeVante Parker
Has struggled with injuries, but played well at times. In 2016, he averaged a respectable 1.60 yards per route run.

– Jay Ajayi
Was fantastic in 2016 (3.5 yards per carry after contact), only to be traded in 2017.

– Vincent Taylor
Graded consistently well in limited playing time in 2017, generating 13 stops and nine total pressures.

– Bobby McCain
Allowed just a 78.4 passer rating into his coverage in 2017.

Drafted Players with the Lowest WAR (per season):

– Dallas Thomas
Had one of the worst seasons we’ve seen from an interior lineman in 2015, where he surrendered 10 sacks and 10 quarterback hits.

– Jamar Taylor
Has given up 336, 575, 692 and 718 yards into his coverage the last four seasons successively. In 2015, with the Dolphins he allowed a 134.8 rating into his coverage.

– Jamil Douglas
In 2015 – on 529 snaps – he allowed 34 total pressures and struggled as a run-blocker.

– Billy Turner
Earned a 39.2 PFF grade in 2015, the season where he played his most snaps, almost exclusively due to poor run-blocking.

– Jelani Jenkins
Gave up a 136.4 passer rating into his coverage in 2016, and 114.4 for his career.
