Number 1 in total defense

I don't know how short-lived this will be :pumpiron:

We played the Bills, but nonetheless, I like being number 1!

x2. Hopefully they can keep it up next week against the Vikings.

Minnesota will be a much stiffer test, but they also have there weaknesses and Miami is catching them at a good time. Run defense should get a solid test going against AP.

The Bills are not anything special BUT it was still impressive. The Bills have three really good RBs in Lynch, Jackson, and Spiller and the Phins just shut those guys down.

Now if they can do it this week versus Peterson then you will really have to take notice.

It was definitely an impressive start for the D. Regardless of who they played hopefully it gives them some confidence and they get after Favre this weekend...

A totally different O line in Minn tho, so its a big test for them. Also the secondary will be tested...

One thing is for sure tho, the game planning will be up to par. Nolan will have a whole new bag of tricks.

Last year those little screens and passes to the backs in the flat would've culminated with a missed GW tackle...we would've then seen Spiller take it another 15-20yds. The defense lead by Dansby (I had concerns in the preseason but none now...the guy plays sideline to sideline) shut down the Bills scat backs and didn't allow Edwards a decent short option. How many times did their O get the ball near mid-field? Impressive? It was the best display of defense I've seen since ZT left.

I'm pretty sure the team that opened against Buffalo last year had the #1 defense for a week too.

250ish yards of total offense from the Bills in week 1 2009. Hmm...

Its a win against an NFL offense. Anything can happen on any given Sunday. They executed and used their strengths. Everyone should be pleased with their performance.

So is CJ Spiller a bust, or did we just have his number?

Spiller is no bust. He had no room to go anywhere. The safeties were swarming to the ball. It was just a good defensive effort by the Dolphins.

don't worry, we'll be the number 1 defense again AFTER week 3. I mean the Jets MAY gain 200 yards on us.... maybe? If we can hold Minny to about 300, 600ish in total yards allowed through 3 weeks is pretty impressive. number 1 D going into the quarter pole game........... Rex Ryan would be planning his Ticker Tape Parade with that kind of stat
