I was surprised that we let him go as he was starter for us last year. You'd think he'd be good backup depth at the least. I guess they're getting tired of players who are prone to injury.

Offensive guard Donald Thomas is scheduled to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Thomas is a former Miami Dolphins sixth-round draft pick.

Thomas played collegiately at Connecticut, where he earned a scholarship and made All-Big East Conference after walking on.

Thomas, 24, started as a rookie prior to suffering a Lisfranc fracture in his left foot two years ago and was placed on injured reserve.

He started 12 games last season.

That's a good team and they need some line help. Hope he gets the job, he deserves a starting position some place. Pitt could get him a ring too.

Rotoworld has it wrong. He's not eligible for the practice squad.
