He has taken longer to develop then any other CB in history, but darn he impressed me today! I'm not taking back all the bad things I said, but I will say that you proved me wrong in the long run!

Way to go D!

Definite Lust. But it is going to take more than two games to erase four years of frustration.

Jason Allen looks like the Aaron Rodgers of defense.

Jason has been moved around a lot and been in a lot of schemes. The statement that he made that this defense allows him to react more than think was a big statement by Jason.

The less any defensive player has to think and the more he can react and make plays is a good thing. Jason has all the tools to be a quality CB.

Regardless of what it is, he did a great job helping us win....

And to add to it all, Smith came in at the end and put the stamp on it...

I never could understand why the previous coaching staffs didn't play him more on defense. It has to be the mental part of the game that he needed to work on. Having Jason Allen step in and perform at the level he is performing at right now is one of the reasons the Phins are out to a 2-0 start. I'm really glad he is getting the chance to play and doing great so far.

I agree Bobby, all mental. The boy has always been physical. I'm glad he turned a new leaf. I've been saying cut him for years. I'm glad he made me the fool so far. Keep on truckin JA, I'm your new fan.

All the years I kept calling for one staff after another to put this guy on the field, I now feel vindicated

Jason Allen is definitely looking like a high round pick at this point. Sure took a long time for him to turn that corner, but things are looking up. I was wondering who would be the guy to step in opposite Vontae, and Jason Allen would have been the last person I would have expected to fill that role. Great job Jason!

Yep, Nolan has come in and turned our secondary into one of the better looking units in the league in a very short amount of time. Vontae Davis and Jason Allen looked like the first round picks they are out there today and Sean Smith played very well in the limited time he was in there. I'm pumped up about our defense this season, it's looking very good right now.

Just a shame about Will Allen. Would have had the total package secondary from hades!

What a switch. Can you imagine everyone screaming that the Dolphins had better resign Jason Allen? It's a minor miracle that he is still on the team.

Its not his contract year.

BTW, its still only two games. If it continues, I will be tooting my own horn, after all the crap I had to read because I told everyone he had the ability.

BTW the 6th Yr was Saban's doing & why Allen was not signed for the start of camp. Saban wanted a 6th Yr, but with no more money than what they were offering for a 5 Yr deal.
