By Dave Hyde September 22, 2010 09:19 PM1. No Kris Jenkins, the nose tackle who anchors the run defense. No Calvin Pace, the linebacker and best pass rusher. No Darrelle Revis, the shutdown cornerback. The Jets are without their best three defensive players, and this presents an unusual opportunity for the Dolphins offense to bust out of this early-season funk and control this game.

No matter what we've seen the first couple of games, I still think this Dolphins offense has too many good players and nice weapons to keep playing like this. I still think quarterback Chad Henne showed too much last year to regress this year. I still think they're too talented to think 13 points against Buffalo and seven against Minnesota is who this offense is.

A Sunday night game against the a depleted Jets defense should provide just the kind of opportunity this offense needs to jump-start this year. Dolphins 27, Jets 13.

I'm expecting very little offense just like we've seen so far and hoping like hell that I'm wrong.

As long as we win, I don't care if it's the Bore Bowl.

Win is first priority; then pretty.

I expect the Dolphins offense to change, I hope that it will break out some.

In the past two seasons Miami has run the ball appx. 48% of the time and of course passed the ball 52% of the time.

Small sample but so far this year Miami has run the ball 57% of time and thrown 43%. I would expect Miami's O to start throwing the ball more.

Hopefully Marshall and company will break some of those into scoring opportunites.

I agree. And Hyde is usually a pessimist.

Marshall has made Cromartie his you-know-what throughout their careers. I expect a big day out of Henne-BM Sunday Night.
