Tebow A Fit For The Phins?
Just floating the idea out there not necessarily suggesting it. I just want to get an idea of what people think of Tebow being what Pat White was supposed to be. IF you drafted Tebow where would you draft him and what position would you play him? My thinking was the third or later and to play him at the H back or TE position. He would be phenomenal in the WildCat if we continue to run that. Outside of that though, I'm not sure he has a place in the NFL, I just don't see him as a QB in this league. I think we have wasted enough picks recently on quarterbacks, so if I brought Tebow in, it would not be as a qb, at least not primarily. That being said, I just don't see this team drafting Tebow. I could see the Pats or Jets drafting him though.

Call me crazy but doesn't he remind you a little like Matt Jones back in 2005?

I love Tebow... but "to be what Pat White was supposed to be"... how do you know what Pat White is after 1 season of limited playing time?

Re: Tebow A Fit For The Phins?
Listen. The WildCat is successful when Ronnie Brown takes the snap from under center. The only other player besides Ronnie in the entire NFL that runs it even somewhat successfully is Josh Cribbs.
Keep it in Ronnie's hands and ditch all this other Pistol, WildPat, BS.
To draft ANOTHER pure-Wildcat QB....and because last year's didn't work out?!....Is stupid....especially in a draft as deep as this year's.

Re: Tebow A Fit For The Phins?
lets change it up a bit. Assuming Tebow is there where would you take him? You know if he's sitting there before day 3 his name will pop up around here again.
I wouldn't want him earlier than round 6.

Re: Tebow A Fit For The Phins?
Call it a hunch, but he is going to make a lot of teams hate themselves for passing on him. His leadership skills are off the chart. He's big, strong, athletic and tough. While I don't advocate drafting him high, I think he'd make an excellent 4th round pick if he's still there. He is one of these guys who is going to fall like a rock in the draft simply because people don't like him. He is the ZT of QB's.

Re: Tebow A Fit For The Phins?
I don't know. I'd be ok with the pick if it came in the 3rd round, and Miami got Wilfork and Marshall in the offseason.

Re: Tebow A Fit For The Phins?
I've been a huge Tebow fan his entire college career, but that doesn't mean I think he's the best move for our team. We have a project QB already. While I'm not sure either could or will benefit this team, I'd personally rather have Tim Tebow than Pat White, but White is already here and under contract, so I think that the odds of the Phins dedicating more draft picks and cap space to project/situational qb's are slim to none.
If you want this team to take a TE out of Florida who could really make a difference for the Phins..... stop thinking Tim Tebow and start thinking Aaron Hernandez.
