1. The Dolphins ran up their highest yardage total of the season without Brandon Marshall.

Coincidence, or something more?

...

2. The special teams continue to be a liability that has to be overcome almost every week.

Jacoby Ford’s 101-yard kickoff return right up the gut to open the game offered yet another reminder that Miami has to address this situation at some point.

...

3. The Dolphins continue to be very impressive on the road.

...

The win improved Miami to 5-1 on the road with a pair of big road tests remaining: at the New York Jets on Dec. 12, and at New England on Jan. 2. With winnable home games remaining against three sub-.500 teams — Cleveland, Detroit and Buffalo — whatever playoff hopes remain could well boil down to winning both of those games.

While this is a young team in many ways — Ricky Williams (33) and Yeremiah Bell (32) are the only starters over 30, the D-line is all 25 or under, and the secondary has three second-year starters — it shows remarkable maturity in hostile environments.

Im thinking these prima donna receivers are not worth the aggrivation. Marshall , Moss , TO , Ocho Cinco ... what have they won.
Henne was much more relaxed without Marshall. I can only imagine he likes not walking on eggshells on who to get the ball to.
Im thinking Brady feels the same & Palmer wished he felt that way.

We could always trade Marshall for some high draft picks and taken Hankerson from the U at some point in the draft. That guy has great hands and is the furthest thing from a prima-donna receiver.

Marshall would have caused the Raiders to back out of 8 and 9 man fronts to double team him. Has he dropped some very catchable balls this year? Absolutely. Has he had a few dumb penalties? Absolutely? Does he want the ball thrown to him? Absolutely. Is he the best receiver Miami has had in decades. ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the receivers stepped up, but you guys do realize Namdi Asamougha didn't even play right?

He had four tackles and gave up two receptions.

The Dolphins did win, but the offense would have been even better with Marshall ... provided we used a balanced approach. There are many good receivers on Miami's roster, but Brandon Marshall is our best one.

If Marshall played, Miami would NOT have been gaining less than 3 yards per carry all game..... Production was mainly from Bess, and Bess can not play in a hometown with 55 family members in attendence every week. Marshall is needed back if we are to make a run.

The only reason why we won this game, was because their Offense couldnt stay on the field. I love running on first and second down, and being in 3rd and 6's all game, and needing Henne to bail out the drive. Dont know if you all watched the same game but that was the trend of the first 3 quarters. We get the ball on their 30, and went backwards 7 yards after a turnover. IT WASNT A GOOD GAME for the rushing attack until Ricky's TD. Otherwise, we were just grinding out 2.4 yards per pop and hoping for a big 3rd down conversion.

If Oakland's offense could have made a drive, this game would have been lopsided the other way. We have to applaud our Defense for bailing us out after every punt this week. This kind of thing is not going to happen next week. Hillis is a lock for 2 TDs a game, drives that end in field goals will not beat the Browns.

Are we really talking about the Browns ... a team that barely beat the Panthers? If there is a team that field goals can beat they could be it.

Ahh .... ok ... I didn't get to watch the game. Thought I read in the Raiders blog he didn't play. I know he's nursing an injury.
