Post Analysts offer mixed reviews on Miami Dolphins

But CBS' Phil Simms and Bill Cowher and ESPN's Ron Jaworski asserted the Dolphins are ``close'' to being a legit championship contender. ``It's a division up for grabs, and Miami is in a very good position,'' Cowher said. ``They've got a good foundation, are very physical, have a good, young quarterback and solid running game and offensive line. Now go get a playmaker on the outside and work to improve the middle of that defense.''

Simms' take: ``They're really close. I always liked Chad Henne, and I'm now more reinforced he's the guy. They need a playmaker, but it doesn't have to be the prototype receiver. Maybe a Percy Harvin type.''

Jaworski believes Miami must make linebacker, especially an edge rusher, its top priority and should not trade for Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin: ``He's a descending player.'' CBS' Dan Fouts, at a Pro Bowl practice, said Miami ``has to start with the pass rush

• CBS' Rich Gannon, on the next step for Henne: ``The thing that's glaring is when he throws to tight ends and backs, he must have better location. You have a tight end running a 10-yard crossing route and you knock him over? You've got to know who you're throwing to. But he has a chance to be a really fine player.''
