jdarlington@miamiHerald.comWhen a pass by Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme bounced off the numbers of Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll late in the fourth quarter, it pretty much summed up a sleepy afternoon at Sun Life Stadium.
The opportunities were there – the execution just wasn’t.
This 13-10 loss wasn’t all Carroll’s fault by any means, no more than it was the fault of everyone else on the Dolphins’ sideline and coaching boxes. The Dolphins, after all, got the ball one play later.

Both teams looked lackluster throughout Sunday’s game. True, Miami’s defense had its moments, just as the Browns’ unit did. But by the end of this game, it was hard to tell whether that was simply the fault of two inconsistent offenses.
