Re: Steelers grant Phins permission to speak with Butler This guy has been a LB's coach for Pittsburgh for 7 years....Sweeeeeet.
Pittsburgh has had some of the best LB's in the game this decade, and most of them were drafted and developed. I think this would be a great hire as not only he clearly knows what he is doing with these guys, but he has worked under Dick Lebeau so you know he knows how to blitz and be aggressive. This would be a tremendous hire, IMO. |

Re: Steelers grant Phins permission to speak with Butler I like it, but not just from a linebacker standpoint. He's been apart of one of the best defenses in the league for awhile now, and we need someone who knows how to create a good defense, assuming that he's picked things up from his time at Pitt.

Re: Steelers grant Phins permission to speak with Butler This is the guy that I want. He can coach both the 3-4 and 4-3 defense. I've always liked it that Belichick can go from one scheme to the next in a single game.
