If he's a RFA, then we have to give up picks. If he's franchised, then that's it...he's off market.

personally i thought we should have made a move for him last off season, i even had a post talking about it. he is a player that wants to be great and knows what it takes. 1st and 3rd is too much though

If Im not mistaken Bess, Hartline and even Ginn will handle those duties for next year...

No point in giving a 1st, 2nd or you name it for a slot WR that had 1 good season.

Iceberg, me and you must have been thinking along the same lines, because I bought him up last year as well. Parcells was obviously familiar with him as he was the on who bought him in.

People will want to say it's one year, but in that one year you can see his size, speed and his ability to make plays after the catch, or YAC.

I saw it in the kid the limited opporunities he got while with Dallas the year before when TO was still on the roster.

No way he ends up in Miami this year as the Cowboys are putting a tender of a 1 & 3rd round pick for him if you make an offer and they don't match it.

Slot receiver? The kid is 6'3, 214 lbs. with speed. He's a hell of a lot better than Roy Williams.

I wouldn't tag him either. I thought they were in discussions for a long term deal.

and as such jerry jones is probably going to tender him for a first and a third on the assumption no one will gamble on a kid w/ one big contract year. truth be told though i like him a wee better than anquan boldin as miles austin is bigger and younger and parcells knows him better

mikey, I like Miles Austin a lot also and wish Miami would have made a run at him last year. With that being said, no way Parcells give up 2 picks in a draft that is considered to be one of the deeper draft in a long time.

A little more info why Parcells will probably not go after Austin ...
