Of course this is from us peanut gallery sideline Dolphin fans, but if I am making these picks, I would focus on the following:

The very first item on the agenda would be to Draft OUT of the 15th overall pick to gain back your number 2.

Focus on getting the best talent to fill multiple glaring needs such as: Offensive Lineman, running back, athletic tight end, QB.

Personally, as much as I like the idea of Mallett, my first gut feeling is get a couple of blue chip offensive lineman monsters to protect Henne, get him a down field athletic tight end ala Dustin Keller, a big play chain moving running back.....

Would you consider a guy like Kyle Rudolph with a later first round pick? Would you go after a guy like Nate Solder of Colorado???

Yes. TE is a major priority.

Joe Flacco-Todd Heap.
Matt Ryan-Tony Gonzalez
Drew Brees/Philip Rivers-Antonio Gates
Mark Sanchez-Dustin Keller
Peyton Manning-Dallas Clark
Drew Brees-Jeremy Shockey/Jimmy Graham
Ben Roethlisberger-Heath Miller
Aaron Rodgers-Jermichael Finlay
Tom Brady-Cheating/Aaron Hernandez, Rob Gronzkowski
Josh Freeman-Kellen Winslow

This is not a coincidence that the top QB's and playoff teams get great help from their TE's.

...and having a good to great TE has always helped any team that plays Miami...If you can play TE in the AFC East, you get two games a year against Miami to pad your stats!! The Dolphins have had a long term vulnerability to throws over the middle to TE's....

1) best talent (any position) @ 15 if we can't trade down
2) center & rb @ 3 & 4
3) would go with a veteran qb on the cheap to compete for start. next year will presnt a better draft for qb's
