Re: Brandon Marshall gets first round tender If I'm not mistaken Denver can match any offer or take the draft pick. Personally I think they believe Marshall's off field issues might keep the price lower than if they gave him a 1st & 3rd tender.
It does open them up to a poison pill type situation, but I believe the NFL has frowned upon teams doing that. |

It should be a 1st and a 3rd, because as far as I know, there are only 2 tenders.....1st and a 3rd, or a 2nd. |

I would not give a 1st with all the money he is going to want and the possibly headaches. I think Brandon Marshall and South Beach won't mix too well. But hey we gambled with our 2nd's before. |

Re: Brandon Marshall gets first round tender I dont expect this to happen, but trading a first and a 3rd for a franchise type wide receiver makes plenty of sense to me.
His character will of course be questioned, but IF Parcells/Sparano/Ireland pulled the trigger on this deal, rest assure they will have confidence they can keep him corraled. Personally, I wish we would do this deal. I believe Marshall is around 26 years old and could be a fixture in Miami's offense for another 5 years plus. He would make an IMMEDIATE impact. |

Re: Brandon Marshall gets first round tender It looks like Baltimore may be close to signing Kevin Walter, the WR from the Houston Texans. Peter King believes the Ravens will not make a bid for Marshall.
I would not mind seeing Miami do a deal like the Jets did with the Chargers of offering a 2nd round pick in 2011. Marshall comes with so much baggage that I don't know if any team will want to offer the 1st round pick. It has come out in the trial in the murder of Darrant Williams that the situation escalated because of Marshall and a friend continuing to get into it with Willie Clark, the guy that is accused of murdering Durrant. _________________
