Matt Moore exits game with head injury

Matt Moore was forced from Sunday's game against the Eagles with a head injury.

Reggie Bush missed a blocking assignment that allowed LB Brian Rolle to get a clear hit on Moore's blindside. He has been taken to the locker room for further evaluation J.P. Losman replaces him at quarterback.

He didnt want to sit out, nor did he want to go to the locker room. He was trying to get back in the game...

He was fine.. Probably saw birdies and they kept him out just in case

Miami did the right thing. Concussions are no joke, and the fact that Cleveland sent Colt McCoy back out there after it was pretty apparent that they young man was knocked senseless.

If it's a concussion you can kiss Moore goodbye for the rest of the season. I know he's playing for the starting job in his mind but at some point you've got to stop the guy from scrambling his brains. Our offensive line is bad and at this point one can only assume that whoever is taking snaps will be running for his life so long as Long is gone. We need to get everyone healthy and start over fresh next season.
New coach, new quarterback, and new whatever it takes to make those two successful.
Get it done Ross!

Man the O-line really killed this season for me. I was enjoying watching this team play with some pride and seeing Moore get his opportunity. Now the kid's got a concussion and the ringers are Losman/Devlin.

This sucks.

I'd like to see Devlin get a shot. He's the only young quarterback left on our roster that can still make something of himself. He's still rough around the edges but putting him in there for a couple of weeks could help speed up his development. I know he's not a long term answer but he could make a decent backup if we use this opportunity to get him some playing time. But I guess I can understand if he just isn't ready.

I guess we'll all have to face facts. This season just hasn't turned out the way we imagined it would. We're possibly heading for another rebuild this offseason and it sucks. Let's just hope Ross picks the right coach and quarterback so we can get this team back on track as quickly as possible.

As much as I have enjoyed watching Matt Moore run the offense this past month, our new administration would be seriously stupid to not to try to upgrade the QB position after this season. Matt Moore has an injury history and it would be ridiculous to think we can count on him 16 games a season. This team needs a franchise QB.

UPDATE ...

A source tells the Palm Beach Post that Matt Moore suffered a potential "low grade" concussion in Week 14, but nothing more significant.

Per beat writer Ben Volin, Moore's neck spasms were more painful than the head injury. It sounds like Moore will still have to pass the NFL's protocol concussion testing in order to play in Week 15. J.P. Losman replaced Moore against the Eagles, finishing 6-of-10 for 60 yards without a touchdown drive.

A bigger question is why is a veteran back missing a routine blitz pickup this late in the season?

Ya it would have been really nice to see if Moore could keep the team together when the chips our down.
I dident think J.P Losman did to bad with no o line not that I think he has any upside. It was just sad to see him get murdered every play and then when he did get a second he could only dump it off for 3 yards.

This is another reason this staff needed to go. When you lose a guy like Jake..you better have a plan to go to max protect or at least slide a TE or back over to help. Instead, let's get both QB's killed.

I would sit him this week against Buffalo and play it safe. Keep the kid healthy. We may need to use him as our starter at the beginning of next year or we may try to trade him around the draft. Bottom line, we're not going anywhere so why mess this kid up. Let him finish the season against the Jets and Patriots if he's healthy enough to do so. Otherwise, stick with Losman and Devlin and cross your fingers.

I agree it would be sweet if they rested Moore so he is all good for pats and jets. Could they rest every starter possible?
