Eagles 26, Dolphins 10

The Good

Reggie Bush had another 100 yard rushing game. He is proving he can be a feature back in the NFL. Throw in 5 catches for 27 yards.

Imagine what he would have done this season if properly used from day one. He would have certainly broken the 1000 yard mark, which he may still do. He is only 230 yards away and at the pace he has been running late in the season, it's not a longshot.

Can't really complain too much about the defense. They held the Eagles to 51 yards rushing and 4 of 15 on third down conversions. They also sacked Michael Vick 4 times with Jason Taylor chiming in twice. Turnovers did the Dolphins in, not defense.

The Bad

For those downplaying the importance of Jake Long, once he went down this offense really fell apart. 9 sacks by the Eagles says it all. Matt Moore had no chance out there and certainly J.P. Losman didn't.

What does the performance of the offensive line after Jake Long went down say about offensive line depth?

Poor offensive line play led to the passing game stinking up the joint. 95 yards passing... YUCK!

Where did Daniel Thomas go?

This team lives and dies by turnovers. We turn it over, we lose. We don't, we have a chance to win. It is not a team built to overcome turnovers.

The Ugly

The rumors and reports are heating up again. Sparano is a goner at the end of the season. Jeff Ireland gets to stay at least one more year. What will our coaching options be if an incoming coach is forced to work with Ireland rather than a personnel guy of their choice? They will certainly be limited as far as big names go.

Why is Ireland untouchable? I'm not saying this is all his fault. Parcells called the shots up until last year. It appears Ireland had a pretty solid draft in 2011. But what has he done to secure his job? We don't really know if talent acquisition or coaching is the problem. It may be a little bit or a lot a bit of both.

One thing is for sure... it will be an interesting offseason in the next episode of Days of our Dolphins.

Sometimes I really don't get the playcalling. Also, why don't we throw it more to Reggie Bush? He's even more dangerous as a receiver than a runner. If he can run for 103 yards, think about what he could do if he had more of a chance to break a long run off of a catch. One thing, though, is that the OL was so bad the Dolphins didn't get a lot of chances to sustan drives.

While this offense may have a few playmakers, they are not good enough to carry this team. I think it starts up front with that offensive line. We have 3 first round picks on the OL (2 when Jake Long went down) and still can't get it done.

The playcalling probably lost us the game... case in point:

We get the ball near the 50 yard line after holding the Eagles to a 3 and out within their own 10. Reggie Bush has 3 or 4 beautful runs to get us down to the 3 yard line. We give him one shot to get it in, he gets stuffed when the oline gets no push.

Next three plays... Thomas stuffed, Hilliard stuffed, Field Goal

This is not a come from behind team, and coaching is as much to blame for that as the players. Reggie Bush showed up to play, the coaches didn't show up to utilize him.

Reggie Bush was playing with emotion that the rest of the Offense needs to play with. A couple of times he broke a 10 yard run through missed blocks from our porous O-Line and got up with more fire cause he was mad at himself for not making on more guy miss. I have been very impressed with him lately.

Colombo has got to go. Period.

I like the play of Long, Incognito, and Pouncey... but the Right side of that line is in desperate need of help. I would put Jerry and Garner in there the rest of the season and see if they have it or not.

We get rid of the red headed step child Pat McQuistan from last season only to hire Columbo on the offensive line?

That guy is horrible and a definite weak link in that OL armour.

Oh and low and behold McQuistan now starts for the Seattle Seahawks. How is that Ragedy Ann is even in the NFL and for the past 8 years!!!!?? Same for bald eagle Columbo.....get your young children to start playing offensive line, there is a future guaranteed for them in the NFL!
