Who are the starters at this point?

I think it's Wake, Odrick, Soliai and Starks at strongside end.

Then when they go to 3-4, Wake will just stand up.

NIckel packages might be Wake, Odrick, Starks and Vernon.

That looks about right.

Sounds like a pretty good lineup. I expect our defensive front seven to be strong again this year. The only thing I'm worried about is our secondary.

Starks on the edge? I think Odrick will get playing time out wide like he did last year, but Starks will probably be strictly a DT.

There will definitely be plenty of rotation though.

Exactly. Odrick is the better passrusher. Starks is way more of a Tackle. Think Wake Starks Soliai Odrick (Vernon is interchangeable here too). Then if we are on a 4-3 in a passing down. Think Wake Starks Odrick Vernon. Odrick can kick inside on passing downs and can play the run well enough on rushing downs. As well as rush the passer. Odrick is going to be KEY to our defense this year because of his versatility.

Vernon is more like Wake then Odrick. But, he will have to learn how to play the run better. So I can see Odrick at DE opposite Wake on first down. But, Vernon is definitely interchangeable there. Odrick will be lining up EVERYWHERE on the D-line.

I hope putting him back in a 4-3 will help him out a bit. He was a stud in college.

I don't think Wake has the size to be a true defensive end. I hope that he will stay at OLB.

DE-Odrick, Starks
DT-Solai, McDaniel

Right now I am not sure that we truly have the personnel to run the 4-3. I think we are much stronger running the 3-4 with Starks, Solai, and Odrick.

Ha ha ha! That dance is awesome when we are winning in a dominant fashion. So basically, never last year. But I think you'e right about the change boosting Odrick a bit. Plus, most guys arent the same the year recovering from injury. Hopefully this year he trust his legs & lets the havoc loose
