Post Whew......
Tannehill opens with a nasty INT, but the defense is stout. The running game gets a TD with 3 left in the half, so the D folds and gives up a 95 yard scoring drive. Wilson shreds the team for another long TD drive. Miami shows some heart and drives for a tying score, but Tannehill throws another awful pick in the end zone.....and gets bailed out by a penalty. Miami ties!!! Then, the special teams folds and gives Leon Washington a 100+ yard KO return TD. I swear, he killed us for a decade as a Jet....and here we go again. Then, another big drive by Miami and Tanneill hits Clay on a broken coverage for a nice TD.

Soliai stuffs a Seattle screen to push them out of FG range. Huge play. Miami then drives downfield quickly and easily....go figure? Clay comes up huge again during the drive. A 43 yard FG by Carpenter gives the team a home win against a stout opponent. Yay!

:runwiththeball:

The offensive line had a great game. The running game was impressive considering the opponent. Well done. Where has this blocking been the last three weeks? Thomas ran the ball extremely well today. Good vision, decisive, good acceleration. Bush also had some nice runs. Both backs had touchdowns. The defense played well against the run, but could not contain Wilson. He had a big game. The defense made the big play to set up the winning drive.

It was a solid, much needed win against a tough defense.

It was the last drive with the ball in Rt's hands and he came through by beating a winning playoff team.

Great game. Tannehill looked like garbage early on, but he settled down and engineered a couple of excellent scoring drives late when we needed it. So much for the notion that teams have "figured us out" offensively. Kudos to the coaches for changing things up and making the proper adjustments. We really looked good in the 2nd half offensively.

Seattle just cannot win on the road & until they do they are merely pretenders. Still they beat NE who clearly sees us in their rear view mirror & should be shaking in their boots at the thought of still having 2 games left with us.

We're one game out of the playoffs right now. We're one game behind the Steelers who just lost to the Browns and have to play the Ravens next week. We're 1/2 a game behind the Bengals who have to play at San Diego next week. I think our team knows that they're only one game out. Because of that fact this New England game has extra significance. There is a real shot we could be in the playoff picture with a win next week. Hopefully the offense that played in the 2nd half today shows up for four quarters next week. We'll need it.
