 Every Patriots loss in December comes from the DolphinsI got this crazy stat from another fan forum, and thought I'd share it with you guys:
Quote: The Miami Dolphins are the only team in the last 10 years to beat Patriots in December. They are currently on a 11 game streak in December dating back to the Miami win in 2009. (22-21) Before that they had a 12 game winning streak in December dating back to the Miami win in 2006. (21-0). Before that they had two 6 game streaks sandwiched around the Miami win in 2004. (29-28). The Patriots record in December for the last decade is an incredible 35-3 with the only losses coming to the Dolphins. It is all on us to break their current streak. Patriots in December since Brady: 35-3 Points for the Patriots: 1113 Points against the Patriots: 562 _________________

Re: Every Patriots loss in December comes from the Dolphins I would be interested to see how many times we played New England in December before I get happy about that stat. Who cares if we beat them three times if we lost ten other times in that span.

Are you trying to say that Belichick, the coach that runs the score up on teams and does not rest his starters, slacked up in December when it came to playing the Dolphins? Regardless...that team is an incredible 35-3 in December, and the ONLY team to beat them in a span of a full decade is Miami, take into account that they're all Miami home games. _________________

Re: Every Patriots loss in December comes from the Dolphins Miami is going to have to play their BEST game of the season in order to beat this Patriots team. The past couple of meetings against Belicheck's fast paced quick passing game has been a recipe of disaster for the fins.
The December stats are nice and all, but if Brady stands back with clear passing lanes, he is liable to put up a good 45 points. This game will be won up front and to hurry Brady into bad throws and mistakes. Our defense must come up with turnovers and our offense must keep Brady and his offense off the field with long sustained drives that produce points. |
