I'm just curious here... and as an out of town fan, I think it complicates things for me because I don't know how I feel.

Obviously, this question is extremely hypothetical, and Stephen Ross has said the team isn't going anywhere. But let's assume for a minute the referendum for stadium upgrades fails (which it will, 95% of all referendums do) and all of the sudden Ross' tune changes.

Let's say the team moved to Los Angeles... would you be a Los Angeles Dolphins fan?

For the record, I've never been to Miami, so I lean towards the yes. But I'm not 100% certain a move wouldn't change my mind.

I think I would, but I would be really pissed. Ross would definitely lose a friend in me.

I don't think they'd keep the Dolphins name... and in that case it'd be really hard to hold any loyalty to them.

I honestly cant even think of a legit answer because just thinking of the Dolphins not being there is gut wrenching. I wouldn't know what to do with myself..

I honestly don't know. I'm not a big fan of LA, or any of it's sporting teams for that matter. I grew up near St. Louis (Cardinals and Blues fan) and I live in Denver (Nuggets and Rapids fan). I honestly don't know who I'd root for. I guess I'd have to say I'd remain a fan, but not quite as enthusiastic as before due to the change.

I would still be a fan they would still be the same team just a different name. A plus if they moved was that i would finally be able to watch the dolphins play in a full stadium instead of it being half empty like it is now.

I would love it since I'm from Southern California and would only be a couple of mins away, but here's the confusing part that I don't know what I would do. Say they do move but later on they bring back the Miami Dolphins just like they did with Cleveland and became the Ravens. Now who would you cheer for then the original team that now is in La and probably be LA Sharks or something different because LA Dolphins would make no sense to me, or cheer for the Miami Dolphins but different Owner and staff and completely a different team. Now I my self would be in limbo and not know who to cheer for and be torn apart.

That would be awesome because I live in the LA area. That would be be my only choice for a transplant here. By the way, there are dolphins here in the Pacific too. They just didn't film "Flipper" here.

I don't live anywhere near Miami, so I don't think it would affect my opinion.
But if they changed the name I think I would have a problem relating.

I still voted yes. You don't remain a fan of a team this crappy for so long and give up on them.
