Well, it finally happened to me. The proposed charging of subscriptions for online views has now hit me for the Sun Sentinel. As much as I have gone to this newspaper first for news, I am not sure if I will pay to subscribe, so, IF anyone else gets access to SS and posts on Phinfever, please consider the link of course, but then also cut and paste the news in your post so I can read it : )

Yeah they have to or they will be gone soon, they make a living charging people for a paper. Now people just go online, paper sales are down and they are trying to survive...

Just technology taking over, a newspaper is now like a cassette tape.. So if your still holding one, your just old LOL...

If you clear your cache you can go back and it won't prompt you to sign up.

It stopped popping up for a while, but now it popping up every time you try to go to a story now.

I've always wondered why newspapers put stories online in the first place.

I personally love a newspaper. Really do not want to spend that much time on the computer reading. Plus you can take a paper with you.

Be sure to only post a paragraph or so from the South Florida papers, and provide a link. They make a lot of their money advertising, so, we definitely do not want to take that from them. Besides, I don't need a letter from their lawyer giving me a "cease and desist" order;)

You can also take your smart phone with you and read the same story as the newspaper and it is a lot less cumbersome.

Get the Sun Sentinel APP guys... I never go to their site anymore, I just use the app.

The iPhone 4 is not as up to date as the 4S or the 5, but it's still a smart phone.
