It is essentially a 3-year, $18.4 million contract.

Amortized bonus

2013 - $1.4 mil
2014 - $1.4 mil
2015 - $1.4 mil
2016 - $1.4 mil
2017 - $1.4 mil

Base salary

2013 - $0.715 mil - cap hit - $2.115 mil
2014 - $4.785 mil - cap hit - $6.185 mil
2015 - $5.9 mil - cap hit - $7.3 mil
2016 - $6.1 mil - cap hit - $7.5 mil
2017 - $6.1 mil - cap hit - $7.5 mil

Cutting him before the 2015 season would save $1.7 mil.
Cutting him before 2016 season would save $3.3 mil.
Cutting him before 2017 season would save $4.7 mil.

Maybe 2 if he does not produce. After Yr 2 cutting him is a cap savings.
