Go Dolphins! From Adam Beasley.... "I'm hearing Brandon Myers is an option for the Dolphins. Have to think they'll kick the tires on Dustin Keller too." Myers looked good for the Raiders last year!

Yes today has been incredible. Hopefully Miami will sign Eric Winston and Dustin Keller. Ireland is working it today.

 Re: Christmas in March?
They were reportedly after Cook, so my guess is Keller and Meyers would be the fall back. Could be letting the initial rush wear off, but they need so sign someone..
We dont have a TE right now, unless its Clay or Egnew...

 Re: Christmas in March?
This has been an interesting day.
I never once thought they'd mess with the LB core this year. I figured they load up on offense, then find inevitable replacements in this year's draft and next.
Obviously it's a team being made in Philbin's image, but there's going to be a TON of transition to deal with this year. All the draft picks, a LB core that needs to learn to play together, starting CB's who need to be unearthed, possibility of the Big Weirdo manning the most important tackle spot, and Tanny forming chemistry with his new offensive pieces.
Really curious to see what happens with the TE position. All we've got is Clay (coming off a torn knee late in the 2012 season) and EgDooDoo.

 Re: Christmas in March?
Considering the blitzkreig Miami conducted today I have to wonder if they are really interested in Keller or Myers. Perhaps it was Cook or bust. Now maybe they focus on drafting a guy and using Clay as the H-back. I still think Clay could develop into something good.

Keller has had Sanchez throwing to him in NY. I have to think his numbers would go up on our team.

Maybe they "reach" for Eifert at 12. I'd have to think he doesn't make it past the Giants now that they've lost Bennett. Still plenty of possibilities.

 Re: Christmas in March?
I've been saying it is a matter of time before Patterson and his $4.6 million cap number are "resolved". No dead cap either. Marshall would be a cap savings of $5.3 million. We have A LOT of cap flexibility, even with all the moves we've made today.

I'm not saying the Dolphins will release those player for cap reasons. I am saying they are all candidates if the team needs cap room. Call it whatever you want, I love what Ireland is doing. As Dphins said, Ireland is being bold and he is doing a great job of bringing guys in and keeping cap space for 2014.

lol my last comment on this little part of the thread. If we want to keep our adolescent back and forth going maybe we should take it to PM and not bore the rest of the people here who could probably care less?

figured there would be a batter chance of signing 2 corners today than there was of us signing 2 linebackers. Strange opening day for us.
