With these guys its getting your own Dr's to evaluate being they had issues the prior year.. PS Keller may have had surgery of some kind as well, that information is usually kept quiet

Welp, targets should be set directly on Finley and a draftee.

Hopefully our Docs are a bit more savvy since when they evaluated Brees & Culpepper.

Eifert with our #1 pick and a band aid at free agent.

Re: Update on TE Dustin Keller
Quote: The Miami Herald's "understanding" is free agent Dustin Keller may turn to the Giants or Bills after talks broke off with the Dolphins. The Dolphins only offered Keller a one-year contract. His agent has also "reached out" to the Broncos. Keller is one-dimensional in that he can stretch the seam, but lacks blocking ability and isn't an ideal mismatch creator at 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds. Rob Gronkowski is 6-foot-6. Jimmy Graham is 6-foot-7. this is why I'd rather draft Escobar

Re: Update on TE Dustin Keller
Quote: The New York Daily News hints the hangup in talks between the Dolphins and free agent Dustin Keller is Miami's unwillingness to offer a multi-year deal. And why would they, in a market where even top free agents are struggling to breach the $10 million barrier in guaranteed money? Keller is the best remaining tight end, by far, but coming off an injury-plagued campaign where he caught just 28 passes. The longer Keller holds out, the worse his offers may get. Dolphins only offered him a 1-year deal

Re: Update on TE Dustin Keller
Drafting an OT to replace Long is more important I think. None of the WR or TE will matter if Tannehill is on the ground. If Keller wants too much, bring in another TE. Save draft pics for young fresh OL and CB.

Re: Update on TE Dustin Keller
Is it possible Miami thinks Clay can adequately fill the role they offered Keller? I know his knee is on the mend but perhaps after a year in the system his learned more of the nuances and can be effective. We saw him get open a few times last year and either miscommunication or a Tannehill overthrow stopped a big play.

Re: Update on TE Dustin Keller
For all we know Ireland has his sights set on snagging Eifert or Ertz in the draft to plug in as the starter. Getting a tier 2 TE will be easier, but we hope they don't miss on getting a true #1 TE threat into offense.

Re: Update on TE Dustin Keller
O Kelly now starting to speculate that the Dolphins might be willing to sign Dennis Pitta and surrender a 2nd rounder since he is an RFA. Proven commodity.

Former Jets TE Dustin Keller reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins.

Dustin Keller fills a hole, adds a target for Tannehill, AND takes something away from the jets. I got to say, I am loving Ireland this offseason. GO DOLPHINS!

I have no clue why you are underwhelmed with the signing of a tight end that can run a 4.5 40 and catch 60 passes for 800 yards. Maybe you prefer having a tight end that runs a 4.8 40 and catches 35 passes for 215 yards?
