Notre Dame’s Tyler Eifert is considered by many to be the top tight end in this draft, but he has kept a low profile during the pre-draft process. There is no buzz about him visiting with teams. Draft analysts can’t seem to find an obvious place to slot him when compiling their mock drafts.

Yet, there is a chance he could be the first offensive skill player selected, going somewhere in the first 10 or 15 picks. Then again, he could also slip into the second round.

There's no chance that Eifert slips to the second round. I'd bet anything on it

How can a player be a sleeper in the 1st Rd? Also, should we wait till the end of Rd. 1 before we know if a player is drafted in Rd. 1?

If they are drafted in the first round, I don't think they can be called a sleeper. Ive always thought a sleeper is someone like Joe Montana in the third or Tom Brady in the 6th round.

Can you call someone who went undrafted a "sleeper"? Like Arian Foster, for instance

I think Ertz will go several picks after Eifert, but will wind up having the better rookie season, and possibly even career. That is my sleeper pick. He's become a forgotten player recently with all of the hype surrounding Eifert after he blew up the combine.
