Post Dion Jordan college highlights
We loved Dion at Oregon and I thought you might enjoy the list of highlight videos. Watch over there but discuss here; do you think this talent DOES translate to the NFL level? We Oregon fans are a little jaded in loving our Ducks without knowing about the transition to the Pro level.

Beyond the rush, he's great in coverage as well!

Once he adds bulk to his frame, he'll be able to keep OT's on their back foot more often when going around the edge. When that happens, his speed will be too much for tackles to handle.

I think he's Aldon Smith good in 2014.

I don't know why this has suddenly surfaced on NFL sites

I thought Clowney was all the rage, not Barr.

He is.

But Barr would have been a top 10 pick this year too. Excited to see him play this season. Still pretty raw.

Ya he was way too raw. He was a runningback until recently.

The Miami Herald reports that Dolphins rookie DE/OLB Dion Jordan is "nursing" a shoulder injury, but that it's not considered "overly serious."
Jordan hasn't practiced the past two days. Typically, we wouldn't deem this blurb-worthy, but it's noteworthy for a player who underwent offseason shoulder surgery. It sounds like Jordan has had a setback. For now, there's no reason to worry about Jordan's Week 1 status, but he'll likely sit out this weekend's preseason game. Reporter Armando Salguero expects Jordan to begin the year as a situational pass rusher.

Post Re: Dion Jordan college highlights
Teams normally expect their first-round draft pick to start right away. That's especially true of the No. 3 overall pick of the draft, but things aren't going as planned with Dion Jordan in Miami this season.

The Dolphins defensive end barely has practiced since the draft because of shoulder surgery combined with the NFL's rule barring players from practicing until their college class graduates. Jordan's injury limited him to start camp before he ramped up his work last week. He hasn't practiced since playing just seven snaps in Friday's preseason game.

Defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle said Jordan is not competing with Olivier Vernon for the starting job opposite Cameron Wake. It's Vernon's job. The team is hoping Jordan can be a situational pass rusher, but even that seems up in the air.

"We still have three weeks of training camp, so it is a little bit premature to determine what (Jordan's) status will be when we begin the season," Coyle said Monday via the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "We're going to take it one day at a time and move forward."

It's early, but the Dolphins might not get the impact they hoped for from their rookie class
